Assam Police has been strict against crime. Every day criminals have been caught by the police. In a successful incident of such, an encounter took place at the area of Bhalukpung in the district of Sonitpur.
The encounter took place between the Chariduar police and banned NLFB militant. In that encounter two NLFB (National Liberation Front of Bodoland) were injured while one was arrested. The arrested has been recognized as Gendra Basumatary and the injured were recognized as Irakdao Narzary and Khampandar Basumatary.
It is noted that the NLFB cadres were seen camping at a place 12 miles away from the spot. They have been camping since few days.
