Health Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday announced that he will no longer give COVID-19 updates.
For the last nine months, the Health Minister has been sharing Coronavirus updates through his Twitter handle. The BJP leader will now discontinue his COVID updates as the number of COVID cases in the state has dropped substantially.
Taking to Twitter, Sarma said, “For 270+ days, I’ve shared #Covid updates. With a positivity rate of below 0.5%, & considering life is back to pre-Covid times including opening of schools & colleges, I shall discontinue the same from today except for special information. Now updates will come from @nhm_assam.”
