Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta on Tuesday announced that there will be no night curfew on December 31. The health minister however added that all the COVID-19 related protocols will strictly have to be followed.
“Only curfew has been removed for December 31 but not the restrictions. The curfew will be imposed the next day,” the minister said.
Meanwhile, regarding the Omicron strain of COVID-19, the health minister stated that no cases have been reported in Assam yet but some international travelers have been found to be positive who are being monitored to make sure that the strain does not reach Assam.
