On Friday morning, a video went viral on various social media platforms where some people were allegedly raising the “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan in Silchar Airport, Assam.
In the video, it can be seen that supporters were welcoming Badruddin Ajmal, the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief as he came out of the airport.
This slogan incident has created quite a stir among the people of Assam and the viral video amplified on many social media platforms.
Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma including many political leaders also condemned the incident. Taking to Twitter, the NEDA Chief stated, “Look at the brazenness of these fundamentalists anti-national people who are shouting PAKISTAN ZINDABAD while they welcome MP @BadruddinAjmal.
This thoroughly exposes @INCIndia which is encouraging such forces by forging an alliance. We shall fight them tooth & nail. Jai Hind.”

However, Haidar Ali, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the AIUDF political party speaking exclusively to Headline8 stated that the slogan was not “Pakistan Zindabad” and rather it was “Aziz Khan Zindabad”. Aziz Ahmed Khan is an MLA of the AIUDF political party.
Meanwhile, AIUDF Chief Secretary, Aminul Islam on Friday called a press conference in Silchar and alleged that the whole incident is just a big conspiracy of the BJP government to stain the image of Ajmal and AIUDF. He also claimed that the video is distorted and the police, CISF deployed there would have taken action against such slogans.
