Assam Police special branch arrested three Assam Police personnel of Gerukabari police outpost in Bongaigaon.
The arrested police personnel include Sub-inspector Pritam Das, OC of the outpost, and two other constables. They allegedly were extorting money from good-laden trucks.
According to sources, Das is also involved in the Assam Police Sub-inspector recruitment scam. The investigation is underway.
Moreover, Bongaigaon Police are still searching for one Rubul Hazarika, an accused involved in the sub-inspector scam.
