Prominent Social Activist Manash Jyoti Baruah organized a press meet at Guwahati Press Club on Saturday.
During the meet, the social campaigner acquainted the media persons about the corruptions and frauds done during the BJP party rule in Assam.
He further stated, “all the major scams like the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) recruitment scam, Assam Panchayat and Rural Development (PNRD) scam, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) and the recent Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) scam are only a few examples of the scams and corruptions held under the BJP government.”
“When BJP party came to power, they promised us a corruption-free state, however, all these promises by Sarbananda Sonowal led government are just false hope to the people of Assam” he added.
He further stated, “one of the accused in the APSC recruitment scam, Mrigen Saikia was absconding for three years and later released in bail under government witness protection. Brother of Rakesh Pal (the main accused in the APSC scam) is also likely to get bail during the BJP rule in Assam. All these incidents clearly show the ineptitude of Sarbananda Sonowal’s government.”
“The JEE Mains examination scam is also another shameful episode showing the incompetence of BJP government in Assam.” the Social activist further stated.
