A meeting between public Works Department and GMCH was chaired by Assam health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday. It was decided in the meeting that PWD is going to immediately construct over 256 ICU beds at GMCH and 24 Kalapahar COVID hospital in Guwahati.
The Assam health minister made the announcement on Twitter.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “At a meeting with PWD & GMCH it’s been decided that PWD will immediately start work on construction of 256 and 24 new ICU beds at GMCH and Kalapahar Covid Hospitals, respectively.”
