ONGC employee Ritul Saikia who was released by the ULFA-I yesterday finally entered the Indian border at around 7.30 am on Saturday in Mon district in the Nagaland-Myanmar border.
Assam riffles currently have him in custody and will be handed over to Assam Police after reaching the state’s borders.
Ritul Saikia was released by the ULFA-I after Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma urged chief Paresh Baruah to release Ritul Saikia at a press conference on Thursday.
