Kaziranga: A tiger died in inter-species infighting at the Teteliguri forest camp in the Kahora forest area of the Kaziranga National Park in Assam.
As per the park authorities, the tiger died as a result of infighting with a wild boar. Meanwhile, the wild boar lost it’s life in the fight as well.
This is the first case of a tiger being killed in a pig attack in Kaziranga. The forest workers at the Teteliguri forest camp discovered the carcasses of both the animals on Sunday.
According to reports, both the animals died about ten days ago. In the meantime, veterinarians have completed the post-mortem examination of the tiger and the pig.
Later, the forest department burnt the dead tiger in accordance with the policy of the National Tiger Authority.
