A State Bank of India (SBI) probationary officer, Khundarakpam Jay Kumar Singh (29), hailing from Manipur was found hanging at his rented house in the Khutikotiya area of Nagaon, Assam on Wednesday night
He reportedly committed suicide due to a failed love affair.
The body has been sent for post-mortem.
According to a senior SBI official, Singh was cheated in his relationship. The police are currently investigating the matter.
