A new-born baby was found dead in a garbage dump near Monaf Memorial Nursing Home in Margherita District of Tinsukia.
The baby was rescued by a local who noticed the dog eating the body of the baby.
On Thursday, a couple from Arunachal Pradesh gave birth to this stillborn baby and the staff of the nursing home was asked to bury the body but they did not do so.
A local person said, “I was going to the State Bank of India (SBI) and suddenly I saw a dog eating a body in the campus of Monaf Memorial Nursing Home. I have immediately informed media.”
The mortal remains was later cremated near the garbage dump by the staff of the Monaf Memorial Nursing Home.
