The State government has directed the Education department to provide smartphones to students from economically weaker sections to ensure that they do not lose out on studies.
CM Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday held a meeting with the health and education officials at Janata Bhawan. While attending the meeting with officials, CM directed the education department to take safety measures while reopening the schools in the state.
CM also urged the education department to substantially use audio-visual tools.
“The pandemic has brought some positives as well and making the people aware of the importance of cleanliness and hygiene and education department must take this opportunity to spread the message of cleanliness in the society through the students,” CM Sonowal said during the meeting at Janata Bhawan.
However, the department has been asked to provide iron and folic acid tablets to students for boosting their immunity along with giving yoga classes.
