Two more accused including a woman were arrested on Saturday in the infamous doctor assault case at the Udali COVID Care Centre in the Hojai district.
The two accused have been identified as Gulnesa Begum and Muktar Ali. They were arrested from the Pipulpukhuri area.
So far, 28 accused have been arrested in connection with the case.
On Tuesday, after a COVID-19 patient succumbed to the virus at the Udali COVID care centre, a mob comprising family members and relatives of the patient brutally assaulted Dr Seuj Senapati and other medical staff.
