Vibha Vani India (Assam Chapter) and the State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development Govt. of Assam organised an Inauguration event of the Assam state conclave on “Sustainable Livelihoods through Science, Technology and Innovation Capabilities” to be held from 25 November to 27 November 2022.
On 25 November, there will be a seminar on the theme “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals: Engaging Social Organisations Startups and other Institutions” from 3:30 pm to 6 pm at PWD Convention and training centre, Dispur. The programme will be attended by some renowned persons such as Vibha Vani, India’s chairperson (Assam Chapter), Gunin Sarma, and other Convenors.
On the 26th and 27th of November, a capacity-building workshop for Social organisations and institutions will be organised on the theme ‘Learning, Training and practice of SDG, Sustainable Development through STI Intervention’ at SIP & RD, Khanapara, Guwahati, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Many startup companies have been selected to participate in the conclave to share their stories with the audience.
The programme will be attended by NGO/ Development Organisations/ Nation Building Organisations (NBOs), Social Enterprises/ Entrepreneurs, Community based groups/ SHGsFPO/FPCs, and Other organisations/ Individuals directly or indirectly involved in the grassroots developmental activities like Academia, innovators, Research & Developmental Organizations etc.

The main purpose of the conclave: The organisers are creating the first-of-its-kind SDG-NGO DO platform in Assam, which would bridge the knowledge and action gap towards ensuring an accelerated track for SDG achievement.
