The Grade IV test was held on August 21 under strict security to fill vacancies in several Assam government departments. The written test for Grade III positions will be held tomorrow i.e, August 28 .
The state government has established SOPs for the examination, which will be held at 1,258 locations across the state. The District Commissioner will be responsible for ensuring that the examination runs smoothly in accordance with the SOP.
The following individuals will be permitted entry into the examination hall:
- Candidates who have a valid admission card.
- Scribes of candidates with physical disabilities who have a valid certificate from the Deputy Commissioner or his/her delegated officer.
- Officials engaged for conduct of examinations like Head of the Institution, Officer-in-Charge, Supervising Officers, Invigilators, Grade-III and Grade-IV staff etc.
- Any authorised persons of the Deputy Commissioner/Govt., Inspector of Schools and Secretary, Regional Offices of SEBA.
Around 14 lakh 30 thousand 338 people applied for 26 positions. The 26,000 available positions are spread across 48 departments. The Grade IV written test was held on August 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for Class VIII passers and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for Class X passers.
Likewise, the Grade III examination will take place on August 28. The exam will be held between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. for Class XII passers and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. for Graduate passers.
