Young story writer Abhijit Bora won the Munin Barkotoki Literary Award 2020 for his manuscript ‘Deuka Kobai Jay’.
The Munin Barkotoki Award is given annually by the Munin Barkotoki Memorial Trust, formed in the memory of the renowned writer, journalist, and critic Munin Barkotoki.
The memorial trust has instituted the annual Munin Barkotoki Award in 1995 and was later renamed as Munin Barkotoki Literary Award in 2015. The award is for promising young writers of Assam writing in the Assamese language. So far, 35 writers have received the award.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 50000 along with a citation and a plaque.
