Unidentified miscreants lobbed a crude bomb on the residence of expelled BJP chief Ch Bijoy in Lamphel space in Imphal West district in Manipur.
The incident happened on Friday evening, hours earlier than the second part of the meeting elections was to start, they mentioned.
No one was injured within the blast triggered by two masked individuals, who got here in a two-wheeler, a police officer mentioned as reported by PTI.
Bijoy, who was expelled from the saffron occasion final month for six years on disciplinary grounds, advised reporters, “The assault may be a menace… to make me politically silent.”
