CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Visits Seuj Kumar Senapati at GMCH

CM HBS visits doctor Seuj Kumar Senapati

State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday morning visited Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and enquired about the health of doctor Seuj Kumar Senapati.
The doctor Seuj Kumar was injured in a mob attack at Covid care center in Hojai.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also had a conversation with the family members of the doctor.
He also assured them that when Senapati resumes service, he will be allowed to serve in a health Institute of his own choice

Taking to Twitter, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote –
“Visited #GMCH to inquire about health of Dr Seuj Kumar Senapati, who was brutally assaulted by family members of a deceased patient on Tuesday.
Also assured his family that Dr Senapati would be allowed to serve in a health Institute of his choice, when he resumes services.”

“GoA stands firmly with doctors & medical fraternity who are leading from front in this pandemic with remarkable dedication. @assampolice has already initiated action against perpetrators. There will be zero tolerance against any assault on our doctors & healthcare workers.” Himanta Biswa Sarma further informed.

Chief Minister HBS further informed that no culprit attacking a doctor can escape and will be severely punished.
He further assured that Assam Government is and will always be with the doctors and medical staff who provide diligent service during Covid situation.
