News Desk: The Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, on Wednesday, inaugurated the newly constructed Teok, Sarupathar and Sivasagar police stations in the presence of several dignitaries like Honourable Minister, Revenue Minister, MPs, MLAs, and other senior police officers.
While the Hon’ble CM physically inaugurated the Rangia Building, the inauguration of Sivasagar and Sarupathar Police Station respectively have been done remotely on a digital platform, wherein the proceeding in each of the three places was witnessed on the LED wall simultaneously in all three places.
Under the Moitri Scheme, new, modern, people-friendly and technologically upgraded police buildings are already completed in 38 places. In each of the modern Police Stations, in addition to reception rooms for common public, there are spacious conference rooms, child and woman corners, comfortable seating areas for officers and men, and an ambience of decency and comfort for all to feel at ease in the Police Station. This initiative of the Government of Assam will definitely be a game-changer.
