Congress MLA Azad Zaman passes away on Thursday morning. The Congress leader of Rajabala Assembly Constituency of Meghalaya died due to a heart attack.
The incident was a shock and deep grief to the Rajabala Community as well as the Western Garo Hills District. The young and dynamic leader always worked hard and tirelessly for the people of Garo Hills.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma took to Twitter sharing his thoughts on the sudden demise of the Congress MLA.
“Shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Hon’ble MLA of Rajabala, Meghalaya, Dr. Azad Zaman. The dynamic and young leader of the plain belt of Garo Hills who worked tirelessly for the people. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.” CM Conrad Sangma Twitted.

As per sources, the MLA died on Thursday early morning at around 2 am. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
