Covid 19 cases in Assam have seen a spike in the second week of May.
The highest number of Covid 19 cases has been recorded in Kamrup (Metro) that has 13000 active cases till Monday evening.
Kamrup (Rural) is in second place with 3985 active Covid cases. Meanwhile, Kumrup (Rural) is closely followed by Dibrugarh with 3664 active Covid cases.

The top 10 districts in Assam with the highest Covid 19 active cases are:
• Kamrup (Metro) – 13,000 cases.
• Kamrup (Rural) – 3985 cases.
• Dibrugarh – 3665 cases.
• Nagaon – 2767
• Cachar – 2280
• Sonitpur – 1795
• Tinsukia – 1738
• Darrang – 1616
• Nalbari – 1596
• Morigaon – 1577
Morigaon is closely followed by Barpeta, Jorhat, and Goalpara districts with 1560, 1508, and 1463 Covid cases respectively.
