Dispur police on Monday apprehended one mobile thief, who stolen two mobile phones and a laptop from the house of one Rakesh Talukdar of Hengrabari on 19th August at about 6.30 PM and threatened the victim.
An FIR was lodged by the victim at Dispur PS on the same day and the case was registered under 3005/21 u/a 380 IPC registered.
On Monday, through technical analysis, it was found that the mobile was in use. With continuous follow-up by ACP Dispur & CN Jitesh Singh from the DCP East office, the accused was caught yesterday evening. The accused led the Police to the discovery of the stolen mobile phones and the laptop. Accordingly, all the stolen property has been recovered.
The accused are identified as -Prahlad Das alias Boga.
