A massive drive in the city by Kamrup(M) District Transport Office. Following the orders of Assam chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Kamrup(M) District Transport Office has started a drive against those vehicles that are plying in the city without paying the taxes or with failed documents.
Gautam Das, Kamrup District Transport Officer, (Registration & Licencing) has requested everyone to pay their motor vehicle arrear taxes by 30 September.

Speaking to the media, Gautam Das, DTO said, “I urge all the owners, drivers of vehicles to kindly check their documents and renew them by 30th September. Luxury vehicle owners should come forward and pay their arrear taxes. We will be able to collect around Rs. 15 crores in arrear taxes.”
