Huge success for Assam Police! Mission drugs operation has been carrying out continuous crackdowns on the illegal drug trade in the state.
As part of its war on drugs, Kamrup Police on Thursday night recovered heroin worth Rs 1.5 crore from a gas tanker at North Guwahati.
Police also arrested two persons from the tanker. Both of them hail from Manipur.

The operation at North Guwahati LPG bottling plant was led by DIG Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Kamrup SP Hitesh Chandra Ray, DSP Kalyan Pathak, and North Guwahati police station officer in charge Dimpul Goyari.
The tanker reached Guwahati from Manipur via Dimapur.
