The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday has relaxed its 48-hour campaigning ban Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to 24 hours.
After this recent notification by ECI, Himanta Biswa Sarma is now all set to campaign from this evening.
On Saturday evening, he will campaign for West Gauhati Asom Gana Parishad candidate Ramendra Narayan Kalita.

Earlier, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has barred Himanta Biswa Sarma from holding public meetings, rallies, roadshows, and interviews for 48 hours over his remark against BPF leader Hagrama Mohilary.
