The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce the schedule for Assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Puducherry.
The announcement will be given at a press conference at 4:30 pm on Friday.
The Election Commission on Wednesday held a crucial meeting in order to finalize the schedule of the upcoming Assembly Election.
At least 125 companies of Central Security Forces (CSF) are scheduled to arrive in the poll-bound states.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has already deployed 20 companies of Central Security Forces (CSF) to Assam. The companies will arrive by next week in the poll-bound Assam for area domination exercise.
