Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu today attended the Mandlik Conference of the Department of Education in Bongaigaon and urged the teaching person to voluntarily quit journalism or other professions.
He said that suspension is not the solution for teachers or being involved in other professions. Everyone should voluntarily quit other professions and concentrate on teaching.
On the other hand, he said the government will take action against some of them even if they are accused of doing journalism in the name of family members.
Meanwhile, minister Pegu said he will soon start the process of transfer from schools with more teachers to schools with fewer teachers in proportion to students.
The minister said he is also making a lot of suggestions for creation of permanent teacher posts in schools.
