The Assam government has made preliminary plans to reopen educational institutions from September 1. However, only classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 would resume in the beginning.
Speaking to the media, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said, “We have received the green signal from the health department to reopen the institutions. Meanwhile, the universities are yet to take a decision at the degree and postgraduate level. The educational institutions in the state are closed since March 20, following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
