Assam Water Resource Pijush Hazarika on Friday visited Laharighat constituency for inspection of flood problem in the constituency as well as Morigaon district.
Minister Pijush Hazarika visited the constituency and inspected the area for the construction of the embankment. He was accompanied by local MLA, DC, SP, and Water Resource officials.
The minister informed that the construction of embankment will eradicate the flood problem in Morigaon by 80 percent.
Taking to Twitter, the minister informed –
“As directed by HCM @himantabiswa sir I visited Laharighat const today with the local MLA, DC, SP & WR officials of Marigaon to inspect the area for the construction of an embankment which will eradicate the flood problem in Marigaon by 80%. Hope it wl be done soon. #FloodFreeAssam”

Pijush Hazarika along with Health Minister Keshab Mahanta also visited Marigaon Civil Hospital. Both the ministers attended a review meeting at the Morigaon DC office.
In the review meeting, Keshab Mahanta Guardian Minister reviewed –
• Development schemes in the district.
• Covid 19 situation in Morigaon and
• Vaccination drive in the district.

“After our inspection at the Civil Hospital, we attended a review meeting at the Morigaon DC’s Office. During the meeting, @keshab_mahanta as Guardian Minister, reviewed development schemes in the district, the COVID situation, and the vaccination drive.”
