An FIR has been filed against AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal by the ‘Oitijya Suraksha Samiti’ on Thursday for disrespecting the Assamese traditional symbol ‘gamocha’ during an election rally.
The FIR was registered at Tezpur Police Station against the AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal for disrespecting the symbol of the state.
Recently a video went viral creating much controversy on social media showing Badruddin Ajmal throwing the Gamocha.

Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also took a dig on Badruddin Ajmal.
He also stated that strict action must be taken against Ajmal and other people involved.
