After taking over Afghanistan, the Taliban’s came in front for the first time for a news conference to declare their new rules and regulation. In their first official press briefing the Taliban pledge to protect women right within the limits of Islamic law.
As per their reports, The Taliban’s gave their first ruling on Tuesday, August 17, that they would not make the full burqa compulsory for women as they did when they last ruled Afghanistan. There won’t be any discrimination against women but they will have to live under the framework of Sharia law.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban, said Tuesday at a news conference that they were working to form a government and that “nobody will be harmed.” Mujahid said the Taliban’s aim is to make sure “Afghanistan is no longer a battlefield of conflict.”
“We have pardoned all those who have fought against us. Conflicts have come to an end,” he said. “We do not want to have any problems with the international community.”
Some protocols have come into action that is, Media should be neutral. Media should broadcast based on National and Islamic values. No broadcast should contradict Islamic values.
