Flybig announced First Flight To Tezu from August 16

Flybig announced the maiden flight service to the Lohit district headquarter.

Travelling between Guwahati and Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh is all set to ‘revolutionize’ as scheduled commuter airline, Flybig, announced the maiden flight service to the Lohit district headquarter.

The first-ever commercial service between Guwahati and Tezu will commence from August 16 under the Government of India’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN-RCS).

“It gives me immense pride to announce that we have successfully established air connectivity in Tezu providing people of this city the freedom to travel via air. This challenging phase of the pandemic has reiterated the importance of air connectivity and we are committed to bringing air connectivity to the underserved areas in the country. Tezu is a beautiful destination for travellers and pilgrims alike. A flight between Tezu and Guwahati is a remarkable landmark that will make travel convenient for passengers” announcing the launch of the new route, Gaurav Rathore, chief commercial officer at Flybig said.

“Arunachal Pradesh now has a strong air network with earlier Pasighat and now Tezu activating air service. We are grateful to chief minister Pema Khandu for his support and guidance in carrying out the operation successfully,” he further added.

Tezu – Guwahati flights will operate with a frequency of four flights a week. The launch fares start from Rs 1199 making it possible for a larger number of people to travel by flight.

Flybig also announced that it is restarting the Delhi-Shillong service from August 16.
