Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in a grenade attack on Friday in Baramulla district, North Kashmir. An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and a civilian were also injured in the attack. This is the second such attack in the area in as many days.
As per initial reports from a senior police officer, the grenade attack took place at Khanpora bridge. He also added that the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The senior police officer further informed that the area has been cordoned off to apprehend the militants who carried out the attack.

In another incident on Wednesday, suspected terrorists had hurled a grenade towards a police team in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla. However, it exploded without causing any damage.
Last week, two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, including a top commander of the outfit involved in several attacks, were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in the Sopore area of Baramulla district.
