Guidelines for post covid Ambubachi mela

Ambubachi mela set to take place in 2022 after the gape of two years . Guwhati Police yesterday issued fresh guidelines for Ambubachi mela 2022.
As per latest guidelines small vehicles would be allowed to be taken to the Kamakhya temple complex.
Buses will not be allowed to pic or drop passengers .
A parking lot reserved for VIP and VVIPs would set to near Bagala Devi temple .
Guwhati DCP Navneet Mahanta and DCP Traffic Hiranya Kumar Barman also informed that further guidelines would be gives ahead of Ambubachi mela.
About Ambubachi Mela : Ambubachi Mela is one of the biggest congregations of eastern India.
Ambubachi Mela is the celebration of the yearly menstruation course of goddess Kamakhya. It is believed that the presiding goddess of the temple, Devi Kamakhya, the Mother Shakti, goes through her annual cycle of menstruation during this time stretch.
