An important meeting of the Kamrup city district regional transport authority board was held in the meeting room of the city district collector on Friday.
The district collector and regional transport authority president Pallav Gopal Jha chaired the meeting to determine and control the fares of city buses plying on various city roads. They also discussed the e-ticketing system, proper application of the guidelines imposed by the Supreme Court on school buses, setting fares for business vehicle Ola Uber and stopping the evil behaviour and harassment of passengers.
The action was taken to implement the steps by discussing in detail various important issues. These include metro chair taxi stone quari to Amsing Jorabat to Digaru-Sonapur and from Pathar Kweri to Azara evening market, putting the nameplate of the station at city bus stations.
At the end of the discussions on the issues mentioned, the meeting directed Regional Transport Authority Rafiqul Islam and Transport Officer (Enforcement Wing) Himanshu Kumar Das to take measures to resolve the issues expeditiously.
