The Guwahati City Football Club (GCFC) Academy clinched the title of Guwahati Sports Association’s (GSA) 1st Talent Hunt U13 All Guwahati Inter Coaching Centre Football League, 2021.
In a thrilling final, GCFC beat Narengi FCC 3-1. The final encounter was held at Sarusajai Practice Ground of IGA stadium. Guwahati City FC took the lead with defender Aryan Kishore Yadav scoring twice while mid-fielder Pritam Brahma added another goal to the score-board.
The opposite team, Narengi FCC scored only once in the injury time. Manas Das scored the sole goal on behalf of Narengi FCC.
Midfielder Pritam Brahma of GCFC was awarded the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’ trophy. Aryan Kishore Yadav of GCFC was adjudged as the best defender and Ayan Ahmed (GCFC) was awarded as the ‘Best Goalkeeper’. Dibyapratim Basumatary (GCFC) was awarded the top scorer trophy with 9 goals.

A total of 37 players were also selected from the tournament for a one-month coaching camp for the Guwahati district team which will be organized by the GSA for State Championship.
Commissioner of Sports & Youth Welfare Department Moloy Bora was present on the occasion as the Chief Guest and encouraged the budding Footballers. General Secretary, Guwahati Sports Association Dhrubajyoti Kalita, NRL Officer Sunmita Bora, Principal of Southpoint School Krishanjan Chanda, ex-international player Debashish Roy, ex-state player Motilal Das, Bikram Rabha, and Gautam Dutta, vice-president, Assam Lawn Ball Association were also present on the occasion.
All eight participating teams were presented with mementos.
