In an attempt to fulfill the commitment of the overall development of football, Guwahati City FC (GCFC) has taken another forward stride.
The city-based football club is going to launch its Futsal Team for the upcoming State Futsal League and National Futsal Championship. The championships will be organized by the All India Football Federation.
English FA Level 1 Futsal coach and former Dynamo Zagreb (Croatia) and University of Nottingham Futsal player Sayantan Chowdhury has been handed over the role of Head Coach. He will be leading the GCFC Futsal team and program.

GCFC is all set to organize first trials for the Futsal team on March 27 at the Game On Arena, Beharbari.

Reporting Time for the trial is scheduled to 4 PM. The trials will be conducted by GCFC Youth Head Coach Bitupan Sonowal under floodlights. This trial is only for the residents of Guwahati.
• Players will be allowed only Turf or Futsal shoes and Football boots will not be allowed.
After organizing two successful seasons of the ‘Guwahati Futsal Festival‘ GCFC will also start an extensive Grassroots Futsal program in association with ‘ProIndia’ under technical guidance from Miguel Andres, Futsal Coach, FC Barcelona very soon.
