Guwahati: Zubeen Garg is all set to work as the brand ambassador of Assam’s agriculture sector to attract the new generation to agriculture and its allied fields.
A meeting was held between Zubeen and Agriculture Minister Atul Bora where the decision was taken as Zubeen also informed the minister about a project prepared by him, his wife Garima Saikia Garg, and his friends to strengthen the agriculture sector.
In consultation with CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal, I have proposed #ZubeenGarg to become Brand Ambassador of our Agriculture & its allied sectors, to which the icon has responded positively.
This will greatly encourage our youths to bring about a new agri revolution in Assam. pic.twitter.com/5hdaB4mDOs

The meeting witnessed the presence of Zubeen and his wife along with others namely Bankim Rai Medhi and Jayanta Kakati.
Garg urged the Minister about his efforts to bring a green revolution in the state by engaging the youths, especially those who have returned due to COVID-induced lockdown. The project is concerned with ensuring remunerative prices of produces to farmers by removing middlemen from the scene. This, according to them can be done by removing communication bottlenecks in the transportation of farmers’ produces to the market.
