A team of Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights consisting of Dr. Sunita Changkakati, Chairperson and Phanindra Bujarbarua, Member accompanied by Chairperson and one member of CWC, Kokrajhar and a Member and the District administration visited the families of the two minor girls who were found hanging from a tree at a village near Kokrajhar a few days ago under mysterious circumstances.
The team interacted with the family members of the victims, and also held discussions with the DC and SP, and reviewed the progress of the investigation.
The team was informed that the detailed investigation is underway and they have urged the investigating authorities to expedite the process so that the convicts could be nabbed and punished at the earliest.
