A tragic incident took place at Beltola, Guwahati when an employee of the Assam State Commission for Women (ASCW) was found hanging inside his own office premises at Beltola in Guwahati. The incident took place on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Talukdar, a resident of Zoo Road area in Guwahati who had been working as an accountant for ASCW. The reason behind the extreme step has not found yet.
The office was closed due to the weekend but Talukdar had come to the office in the morning. According to the security guard who was on duty, the deceased often used to come to the office to finish pending works.
Meanwhile, a police team from Basistha police station arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation.
