News Desk: The state government on July 11 renewed the order which allowed house to house sale of vegetables and fruits between 8 AM and 2 PM. The government has still not allowed roadside vending of vegetables, fruits, and fish.
According to a price list issued by the Director of Horticulture & Food Processing, Assam the new prices of the vegetables are as follows. The traders can sell the vegetables at the following prices in Guwahati:
- Ridge Gourd (Jika) – ₹ 45 per Kg
- Tender Ash Gourd (Jali Kumura) – ₹ 40 per Kg
- Pointed Gourd (Potol) – ₹ 40 per Kg
- Bitter Gourd (Teeta-Kerela) – ₹ 45 per Kg
- Sponge Gourd (Bhol) – ₹ 35 per Kg
- Snake Gourd (Dhunduli) – ₹ 30 per Kg
- Spine gourd (Bhat Kerela) – ₹ 50 per Kg
- Bottle Gourd (Zati Lau) – ₹ 40 per Kg
- Long Bean (Lesera) – ₹ 45 per Kg
- Pumpkin (Ronga-Lau) – ₹ 25 per Kg
- Ladies Finger (Bhendi) – ₹ 40 per Kg
- Cabbage (Bandha Kobi) – ₹ 35 per Kg
- Chilli (Jolokia) – ₹ 65 per Kg
- Carrot (Gaazor) – ₹ 95 per Kg

The Directorate of Horticulture & Food Processing also stated that: “The monitoring Committee is authorized to monitor the consumer price on the basis of any situation arises.”
