COVID-19 Negative Certificate Not Mandatory for Opening Shops

News Desk: The Kamrup (Metro) district administration agreed that the COVID-19 negative certificate is not mandatory for the opening of shops. The government issued a notification regarding this decision on Sunday.

Trade bodies can open their shops, business establishments from Monday as per the circular issued by the government. All trade bodies must strictly follow the rule of “one side of the street on one day and another side on the next day”.

All trade bodies must strictly follow the rule of 50% of the workforce. Other COVID protocols like social distancing, use of sanitizers, use of masks, avoid mass gathering and other instructions given by the government must be strictly followed.

The state health department can, however, conduct random COVID-19 sample tests of employees and owners from shop to shop, business establishments, and offices.

The government urged the people to extend full cooperation to the testing team.
