The Cyber Cell of Assam police has arrested a youth for allegedly threatening a girl living in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district.
The complainant was registered by the victim girl soon after the FIR was lodged at Dhekiajuli police station stating that on August 15, 2021, that she received objectionable messages from two unknown numbers.
Soon after the complaint, the Assam police has arrested a youth for allegedly threatening a girl living in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district to make her nude pictures viral on the internet.
A case was registered at Dhekiajuli Police Station case no -467/2021, under section – 67 of IT Act.
On 16/08/2024 one Complainant victim girl lodged an FIR at Dhekiajuli police station stating that on 15/08/2021 that she received objectionable messages from two unknown nos through Whatsapp and she was threatened that they would viral her nude pictures . Hence the case. pic.twitter.com/k0qW5B5jY3

The accused person identified as— Wahiduz Alom Zaman, son of Md. Samsul Alom of village – Gotlung under Tezpur police station area.
The police also seized some digital items/evidence in connection to the case.
Later the arrested accused was forwarded to the Court in Tezpur.
