Guwahati police arrested a man for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter for seven years. The incident came to light after their landlord lodged an FIR in the women’s police station.
A case was registered against the accused under the POSCO Act and IPC 376 2(N), 376 (A B).
The family originally belongs to Kolkata and they were presently residing in the rent in the Bhetapara area of Guwahati due to his job.
Police arrested the accused within three hours after the complaint was registered against him.
