Fish Lending Ports Will be Constructed In Brahmaputra and Barak Valleys

News Desk: CM Sarbananda Sonowal, today, conducted a meeting with the officers of Fishery Department on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. The meeting took place at the Brahmaputra State Guest House for the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. On account of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ campaign, the Centre allocated a sum of 20 thousand crores for the implementation of the scheme.CM while focusing on a self-reliant Ass CM Sarbananda Sonowal, today, conducted a meeting with the officers of Fishery Department on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. am ordered a District level plan to be implemented by the Department of Fishery.

CM instructed the fishery department to implement the Scheme at the state level. He also instructed them to prepare the state work scheme in accordance with the state level scheme.

According to the schemes from various districts, a common scheme for the State is to be implemented. Larvae production centers, Feed meal, Fish domestication and various ways of breeding fish were given importance by the CM.

Sarbananda Sonowal also instructed to construct a fish lending port on the banks of the Barak River and the Brahmaputra. All the water bodies including pools are to be focused for fish production and measures are to be taken as per the instructions of the CM. He also instructed the department to increase the production of fishes to such a level that it can take over the markets of the neighbouring states as well.

Migrant laborers who returned due to lockdown are to be engaged and be given a livelihood through Fish Breeding.
