Assam: Gauhati University (GU) on Friday issued a notice regarding the restart of regular classes for the students of the final semester. Classes for the final semester students will resume from September 1. The University will restart the classes in accordance with the Government guidelines issued by the Commissioner and Secretary of Higher Education, Assam.
The notice stated, “This is for information of all concerned that Gauhati University is preparing to restart regular classes for the following programmes of study from September 1, 2020:
* P.G. 4th Semester
* U.G. 6th Semester
* LL.B 6th Semester
* BA LLB, BBA LLB & B.Com LLB 10th Semester
The University hostels will reopen on Sep 1.
The University plans to conduct the UG examinations from September 22. While the PG examinations are to commence from September 25. However, the plan is subject to change in case of any change in directives by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
