A massive fire broke out at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) on Friday which led to chaos among the patients and the staff.
The fire broke out in the room of the Head of Department, Radiology. Many important documents are said to be destroyed in the fire.
Reports say that short circuit in a computer power line caused the fire.
Security guards of GMCH have controlled the fire.
An investigation into the entire incident has been directed by the Superintendent of GMCH.
