Guwahati Traffic Police (GTP) has left no stones unturned in keeping a check on the violators of the COVID SOPs. From putting up checkpoints at every major point of the city to patrolling the streets in a timely manner the traffic police department of the city has kept a strict vigil on the violators.
In spite of all such steps by GTP, a number of people in the city have been found violating the COVID SOPs.
Data received from the Guwahati Traffic Police (GTP) says that a total fine of Rs. 13 lakh has been collected by the department since May 4. In addition, the police have detained more than 300 vehicles of the violators. Also, more than 2300 FIRs have been registered by GTP against the violators.
