Guwahati, 15th June: A leader from Behali area was arrested earlier today for writing disrespectful post on Facebook. Anil Baniya today was arrested by police from his residence at Behali’s Rongsali area.
Anil Baniya is a leader of the Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) of Behali area in Assam’s Bishwanath District. He was arrested for allegedly posting a demeaning statement on his Facebook wall.
On Sunday, Himanta Biswa Sarma was diagnosed with kidney stone. Later doctors in GMCH detected a kidney stone measuring 3.76mm through Ulta Sono Graphy. After spending a few hours in GMCH, Mr. Sarma was discharged from GMCH.
It needs to be mentioned that Mr. Sarma has been actively managing the COVID-19 situation in the State.
