Assam Congress’ Official Facebook page ‘Assam Bachao’ is in limelight once again. The official Facebook page posted Taiwan Tea Garden photos depicting it as Assam’s Tea Garden.
It seems that Congress cannot differentiate between Assam and Taiwan. Moreover, it cannot even differentiate between Assamese people and Taiwanese.
This incident can be termed as an ‘Utter Insult’ to the Tea workers of Assam.
This bizarre act by Congress is now rife among the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma himself has taken this huge blunder by Congress seriously. The minister himself took to Twitter ridiculing Congress and Assam Bachao. In his two Tweets, he stated,
“Official Congress campaign page is using photo of tea garden from Taiwan to say “Assam Bachao”.
Congress leaders can’t even recognise Assam?
This is an insult of Assam and Tea Garden workers of our state. #CongressInsultsAssam”

In another Tweet, the minister stated,
“First Congress couldn’t identify Assam, now Congress can’t even recognise Assamese people.
This is again a pic from Taiwan. Congress leaders have forgotten Assam. Let’s show @INCIndia how beautiful our land is. #CongressInsultsAssam”

Yes! Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is correct when he stated that “Congress leaders can’t even recognize Assam”
Just a few days ago, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi visited Assam and was seen plucking tea leaves with women tea garden workers. Congress party during Priyanka Gandhi’s visit proudly announced that their party will pay Rs. 365 per day to tea garden workers.
However, it seems that all these assurances and promises are just mere words from the mouth of Congress leaders. Congress leaders can’t even differentiate between Assam Tea Gardens and Taiwan Tea Gardens.
Now, Priyanka Gandhi’s ‘Tea Plucking incident’ seems just like a mere ‘Publicity Stunt’.
With this bizarre blunder, Congress party’s ‘Assam Bachao’ Facebook page can rightfully change its name to ‘Taiwan Bachao’.
